This winter, El Niño is expected to bring heavy storms to our region that will likely cause flooding, landslides, downed trees, electrical outages and other impacts. This workshop will provide an opportunity to hear from federal, state, and local agencies, as well as community- based representatives on what El Nino could mean for Los Angeles County and what agencies are doing to prepare for disasters. This workshop will also cover what an El Niño weather pattern is, emergency alerts, evacuations, and what residents can do to prepare before, during and after a disaster.
