Committee:  Education

Description: This workshop will educate high school aged youth on topics identified by their peers as needing reform. The program will allow youth to have an open and honest dialogue regarding pressing social justice issues in their community.  Additionally, the workshop will empower youth to actively use their voice and “turn up” for social justice resulting in community engagement and change throughout the 2nd Supervisorial District.

This workshop was coordinated by students from Manual Arts High School participating in the Education Committee’s Youth EMPOWER initiative (Youth Exploring Methods of Positive Work to Engage Residents).
