On March 8, 2016, the Arts and Culture Committee held a post-Empowerment Congress Summit “thank you” to the committee members who volunteered their services to help with the workshop. The meeting included hosted food and drinks for the attendees, along with a musical celebration and networking.
Certificates created by Dorsay Dujon with Make Music L.A. were given to the members as a token of appreciation for committee members’ assistance in the excellent “Imagining Renaissance” workshop at the 24th Annual Empowerment Congress Summit in January.
The committee also received a brief overview of the 25th Anniversary of the Empowerment Congress, which is rapidly approaching in January 2017.
Over 20 individuals attended the meeting, which included the performance of a Jamaican folk song.
