On Thursday, June 13, 2019, the Empowerment Congress Health, Human Services, and Mental Health Committees partnered with the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services (DHS) Whole Person Care Collaboration team to provide updates on the program. Additionally, team members shed light on special initiatives, including LA County African American Infant and Maternal Mortality (AAIMM) Community Action Team & the Countywide Alternatives to Incarceration Workgroup. Following a robust presentation by the team, approximately 80 participants discussed each initiative in two (2) separate dialogue groups.
